Our mom has a little blue recipe binder. She has had it for years and years...and years! Over the years she has collected recipes from friends, magazines, cookbooks, etc. All the BEST recipes would go into this little blue binder. The binder is pretty worn but the recipes are certainly timeless. This cookie is exceptionally delicious.

Split Level Bar Cookies
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
2/3 cup evaporated milk
6 oz. cream cheese
1 cup chopped walnuts
4 Tbsp. sesame seeds
1/2 tsp. salt
1-1/2 cup sugar
1 cup softened oleo (butter)
(yes you can tell this is an OLD recipe...what is Oleo!)
2 eggs
In saucepan combine choc. chips, cream cheese and milk. Melt over low heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, stir in nuts, seeds, vanilla, blend.
Set aside.
In large mixer bowl combine remaining ingredients. Blend with pastry blender just until particles are fine. Press half of mixture in greased 13x9" pan. Spread with chocolate mixture. Sprinkle with remaining crumbs.
Bake at 375 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Cool.
