Just tweaked it a bit.  Right click on the image below to copy for our own files.

It took me about 1/2 hour to create 30.  My kind of Valentine! 

Just need a printer, paper and 1 bag of wrapped chocolate hearts.  I found my chocolates at Walgreens.

They were right on the mark!

Valentine Mantels and Cozy Corners

I've been searching Pinterest for ideas of Valentine decor.  These are a few of my favorites, so far.

I love the idea of re-purposing everyday things to create beautiful vignettes. 

I also like to display family heirlooms.  

Simple prints, red pots and greenery.  LOVE.

 

Old newspapers or magazines can create such heartfelt beauty.

 

Elegant.  From an old window frame.

Just makes you want to curl up with someone special.  

Or at least a good book.

Love some sister time.

Simple is Good.

Chocolate Covered Valentine Treats

Happy Valentine's Day

Extreme Rice Krispy Treats

All I can say is YUM!

Well maybe just a few more words to describe D.E.L.I.C.I.O.U.S!  

And so easy to make.

Start with your 1st batch of rice krispy bars.  Smooth into a buttered square pan with tall sides.  Let cool.

Top with marshmallows and chocolate chips.  Or whatever makes up your delicious!

Whip up a caramel sauce.  My favorite is here

Layer caramel mixture over the chips and marshmallows.  Let set in refrigerator.  Make up 2nd batch of rice krispy bar mixture and place over the top of caramel.  Press firmly.

Drizzle chocolate over the top.  Let set (in refrigerator) and then cut.

You can double the recipe and put on a parchment covered jelly roll pan.

Double Deliciousness!

Wrap up a square or two for a friend and call it

I saw these empty bottles on a store shelf and they just screamed, "Fill me, Fill me!"...with Valentine candy.

So I did.

Valentine's Day Make-Over

I have a friend that loves decorating and her home is a beautiful reflection of that.  She decorates for EVERY holiday.  As soon as one holiday is complete she is on to the next!  She has a gift for keeping it simple and inexpensive, but definitely includes the WOW factor.  

Valentine's Day is next on the agenda and she is all decked out!  Tammy has given me permission to share a few of her lovelies.

She put this out on Facebook and came up with a great solution...

"This wreath doesn't show up against my front door.  Not enough contrast.  I wonder if I should spray paint it a brighter red, pink, or white.  What do you think?  Any suggestions?"

The solution...

"Wreath is painted white.  I love how it turned out.  The contrast against the door looks better.  It really pops.  I masked off the wreath and just painted the berries and twigs.  It looks like a brand new wreath that didn't cost a thing."

Tammy has a charming chalkboard sign that occasionally she adds for a front porch greeting.
